Week of Compassion
Food and Clothing Drive
Grade 9 Bible students with a portion of items their class brought in.Bethany held a food and clothing drive as part of the school's participation in Goshen’s Week of Compassion Oct. 31-Nov. 4. The focus of the week was to raise the community’s awareness of the needs of many of our neighbors. The Center for Healing and Hope, The Window, and East Goshen Mennonite Church Food Pantry are three non-profit, faith-based agencies in Goshen providing emergency food, clothing, and medical care to the underserved.
The Student Body Association established a school goal of 5 items/pound per student. At week's end students had donated 467 food items and more than 800 pounds of clothes.
