Geobee Winner


Eighth grader Alex Reinhardt, son of Brent and Marla Reinhardt, won the school-level competition of the National Geographic Bee and a chance at a $25,000 college scholarship. Students answered oral questions on geography in this first-round of the 24th annual bee sponsored by the National Geographic Society. As Bethany's representative Alex will take a written test with opportunity to advance to the state competition in Indianapolis on March 30, 2012.

Eighth grader Peter Shirk was runner-up. Other students making the final round of the school-level competition included eighth graders Nick Schrock, Mags Dutchersmith, Kyle Snyder, Elijah Lora, seventh graders Simon Hurst and Jackson King, as well as sixth graders Joel Yoder, and Sydney Bradford.
