Concert Choir Golden

Bethany's concert choir received a division 1 gold rating in both performance and sight-reading at the Apr. 14 district choral contest. The choir is directed by Nathan Swartzendruber.

Bethany began participating in the ISSMA (Indiana State School Music Association) contests in 1997 and has received a first-place rating in performance every year since, and a first-place rating in sight reading every year since 2000.

The choir participated in the Mennonite Schools Council choir festival in Salem, Ore., earlier this month. Its next peformance will be on Sunday, May 15, at College Mennonite Church. The service begins at 9:15 a.m.
