ALL STUDENTS: Thanks to everyone who participated in the 6th annual Bike to School Day on Wednesday. This was an impressive year for distance traveled, as a total of 398 miles were biked and walked by 80 people. This breaks our school record by almost 100 miles! Special recognition goes to:
• Class with the most participation:  7th grade, 52% participation  (8th grade came in 2nd place, 9th grade came in 3rd place)
• Longest Distance Traveled- High School- Nate Nussbaum 28 miles, Joel Gerig 23 miles, Abe Thorne 23 miles, Zac Zmudzinski 18 miles, Kyle Hoekstra 18 miles, Josh Weaver 15 miles, Lynea Brubacher Kaethler 14 miles
Longest Distance- Middle School- Bryce Miller 16 miles, Kyle Snyder 10 miles, Conrad Yoder 9 miles, Danielle Yoder 9 miles, Joel Plank 9 miles, Jacob Plank 9 miles

Today is the last day you may check out library books this year. Please return all books, videos, and DVDs to the library by Monday, May 21.

If you are currently in grades 8-11 and are interested in theater, sign up for the theater and musical theater workshops at Bethany this summer. This is a great way to improve your skills and get a chance to perform. Registration forms are available in the front office. If you are interested but need financial assistance, talk with Talashia. We select pieces for each person in the workshops, so please get those registration forms in as soon as you can.

SPORTS—HIGH SCHOOL: The girls tennis team lost to Jimtown 4-1 in sectionals last night. Mandy Meserve won her match. Congratulations to the team on a fine season.

The baseball team lost to Triton 11-6 yesterday. Ike Lehman and Jesse Loewen each had three hits; Jared Miller and Jordan Glasgow had doubles. The team hosts Howe in a doubleheader at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow.

The softball team lost to Triton 9-4 yesterday. Lorae Weaver had two hits and Jordan Helmuth two stolen bases. The team plays in the Goshen Invitational tomorrow.

The golf team lost to Westview and Elkhart Christian yesterday. Johnny Watkins led the team with a 57.  Justin Zehr had his best round of the season and Derek Christophel his best score in a nine-hole match.
