Senior Ji Eun Han was recognized by the YWCA in its annual Salute to Women awards banquet on Friday, April 15. The YWCA, in its mission of eliminating racism and empowering women, honors area women and high school students each year.

Ji Eun Han received a $100 Woman of Justice scholarship from the YWCA. A native of South Korea, Ji Eun has notably fostered cross-cultural understanding as she has integrated into community life at Bethany and helped other international students adapt to life in the U.S. At Bethany she has played on the girls tennis team, sung in the concert choir, performed in musicals and dramas, competed in speech and debate, been a member of the state-qualifying Academic Superbowl fine arts team, and served as co-editor of the high school yearbook.

Ji Eun plans to study international relations at either Goshen College or Indiana University. She is the daughter of Sang Yeol Han and Jeon Sun of South Korea. Her host parents are Jim and Jane Buller.
