John Mast selected by Dept. of Education

John Mast ('81), teacher and director of special education at Bethany Christian Schools, has been selected by the Indiana Department of Education to represent the State of Indiana on a national licensure panel facilitated by Educational Testing Service. This panel will review a new edition of the special education teacher licensure assessment (Special Education: Core Knowledge and Mild to Moderate Application Assessment), which will be administered by ETS beginning in fall 2010, and then recommend the minimum score needed for licensure candidates to pass the assessment. Mast will meet with representatives from other states Feb. 22-26 in Princeton, N.J.
